The premier East Coast car event of the Spring, Amelia Island Concours Week 2026, will be taking place in Fernandina Beach, Florida for the 31st time this year. 2026 also marks the third year Wolf and Mare will be in attendance as members of the collector car industry and, as always, we’re excited to see how this experience continues to evolve.
Amelia Island Concours Week can be an overwhelming experience. Information on the week’s events are scattered among various sources — so we’ve created a comprehensive summary of the week’s major activities for our readers. Since Wolf and Mare’s primary mission is to help the community better enjoy the collector car hobby, we also share our tips and tricks for making the experience as trouble-free and fun as possible.
Amelia Island Concours Week: March 4 – 8, 2026
Wolf and Mare
The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance was founded by Bill Warner of Road & Track fame way back in 1996. More than a profit-seeking or niche car community gathering, the event is a charitable one that benefits a variety of northeast Florida non-profits, including Community Hospice and Palliative Care, and this charitable tradition continues into Hagerty’s ownership of the event. Over the years it has gained a reputation as one of the premier concours in the world, among such notable events at the Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, Greenwich Concours d’Elegance and the Louis Vuitton Classic in Manhattan.
Celebration of motorsport has long been an element of the Amelia concours, and 2026 is no different. This year’s honoree is Dario Franchitti, a four-time IndyCar champ and endurance racing winner. Cars from Franchitti’s own racing history are expected to be a part of this year’s display.

Perhaps the most significant change this year is the date of the anchor event itself. The Amelia, née The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
The Amelia Concours is typically held the second weekend in March and and usually runs on Sunday, but as mentiond above this year the main event will occur on Saturday and swaps places with Cars & Caffeine® which will now be on Sunday. Below you will find detail on information on the big events happening during Concours Week and additional tips and suggestions for a pleasant trip.
As noted above, The Amelia Concours itself has moved to Saturday, March 8 and this year’s celebrated racing driver is Dario Franchitti. The event kicks off with a ticketed kick-off party called Reverie on Thursday the 5th.
The Amelia’s comprehensive website covers the plethora of events they host during the week including special dinners, driving experiences and more. We encourage you to check out the full schedule here. Tickets for events connected to The Amelia can be found there as well.
The Porsche Club of America holds its own marque-specific car show at The Amelia River Club the Friday before the concours. Here you can see a vast number of Porsches including rare race cars, customs, and pristine concours examples. While Porsche owners can secure P-car only parking and enter the judged show, the event is also open to non-Porsche owners. Entry as a non-Porsche owning spectator is just $40 at the gate. We attend every year, so say hi if you see us! Judged entry is SOLD OUTas of January 28.
Concours entrants embark on a tour of the island, starting at 7 a.m. and culminating with a public display until 2 p.m. in downtown Fernandina Beach. This is a completely free exhibition for spectators, with complimentary coffee and donuts provided by sponsor Reliable Carriers.
Concours d’Lemons is all about celebrating cars that no one loves, or shouldn’t — very much the opposite of the Amelia Island Concours. It’s a ton of fun, with “worst of show” awards and more. It’s only $20 for admission and takes place during the Classic Motorsports Amelia Island Kickoff on Friday, March 7 at Main Beach Park in Fernandina Beach.
Throughout the year RADwood holds a number of regional shows in the United States highlighting modern cars built during the “Rad” era dating from 1980-1999. Hagerty has bundled RADwood spectator access with admission to The Amelia concours in 2026, so you’ll need to purchase a $140 per person ticket to enter. Showing your car at RADwood requires a separate ticket and RADwood car entrants do not automatically receive admission to The Amelia concours.
Over 200 of the world’s best and most important antique and classic automobiles will descend on the Golf Club of Amelia Island to vie for coveted awards and accolades. The Amelia Concours d’Elegance is sort of the East Coast version of Pebble Beach with cars of similar caliber and rarity. If you’re wondering what to wear for the concours itself, you can’t go wrong with resort casual.
As noted above, this community-themed car show (now a ticketed event owned by Hagerty) has moved from Saturday to Sunday. This massive display is open to many more cars than the prestigious concours, featuring hundreds of different makes and models. If you’re not interested in paying the big bucks for an Amelia ticket, you can save some cash and still see some amazing cars here. This show used to include spectator access to RADwood, but this is now included with the Amelia ticket.
The list above is in no way comprehensive, and many smaller clubs like the Lotus Club or Morgan Club will have their own events during Amelia Concours Week. We encourage you to check the club websites of your favorite marques for more information.
Auctions | Amelia Island Concours Week 2026
Wolf and Mare
The prestige of The Amelia concours attracts some of the most exclusive collector cars in the world, making it the perfect venue for high-end auctions. If you’re looking for a special car, chances are one is crossing the block this week. Auction previews are open to the public and can be mini car shows on their own. Listed below are the two major auction events of the week.
Broad Arrow is Hagerty’s live auction business and is the official auction partner for The Amelia. Previews are graciously open to the public at no charge per the below hours of operation. The bidding room is standing room only for non-registered bidders, however.
Dates: March 5 – 7, 2026 Location: Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Auction preview: March 5: (9 a.m.-4p.m.), March 6: (9 a.m.-4 p.m.), March 7: (9 a.m.-11 a.m.) Auction days: March 6: (4 p.m.), March 7: (11 a.m.)
Gooding Christie’s, formerly Gooding & Company prior to the merger of these two auction houses, hosts a ticketed public preview for its auction at Racquet Park on the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. Last year I had no trouble accessing the bidding tent for the live auction, however seating is for registered bidders only, if I recall. Grab a cocktail and enjoy the bidding!
Dates: March 4 – March 6, 2025 Location: Racquet Park, Omni Amelia Island Resort Auction preview: March 4: 12 p.m.-6 p.m., March 5: 9 a.m.-6 p.m., March 6: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Auction days: March 5: 3 p.m., March 6: 11 a.m. Admission: $50 (per person, good for all days)
For those looking for the RM Sotheby’s, the auction house no longer holds an auction at Amelia Island and instead holds its Florida auction the week before at its counter-event, MODAMIAMI. Bonhams Cars has also left Amelia Island Concours Week, instead teaming up with the Miami Grand Prix to host a live auction right on the F1 circuit.
Things to Do on Amelia Island
Wolf and Mare
If you (well, your travel companions) need a break from all the car craziness, here are some great non-car related activities you can enjoy during Amelia Island Concours Week 2025.
If you’re a fan of these illuminated navigational aids from the past, Amelia Island’s lighthouse is worth a stop. Tours are available for $10 per adult, but you can visit the grounds for free.
Fernandina Beach is a very quaint little waterfront town with shops, dining, and lots of cool Victornian architecture. The town is bustling during Amelia Island Concours Week, so plan early.
While March at Amelia Island can be chilly and sometimes rainy, a warm spell isn’t out of the question. This centrally located beach park is a great way to sample Florida’s beaches.
I know it seems weird, but the site dates to Spanish conquest days and is a fascinating place to explore some ancient history hidden beneach the Spanish Moss-draped trees.
The Ritz is the host hotel for The Amelia and subsequently books up immediately. If you didn’t make a reservation the same day the dates for the 2026 were announced, you’re out of luck. But it’s central to everything if you book in time, and you can visit the property during events if you’re not a guest. Parking can be challenging, so be prepared to hoof it or secure a drop-off.
An oceanfront resort with a ton of rooms. If you’ve missed your chance for the Ritz Carlton, this could be an alternative. While not as luxurious as the Ritz, it has full resort amenities and is a great place for families. The Resort offers both hotel guest rooms and villa rentals. This year, we’ve secured a villa just a stone’s throw from Gooding’s auction location.
Fernandina Beach and the surrounding area feature various hotel and motel options. Room rates island-wide increase significantly during Amelia Island Concours Week, but chain hotels and smaller boutique motels can offer more affordable accommodations than the Ritz or The Omni. As with the others, book early!
Room share sites offer an alternative to the big chains and can also be a bargain if you book early enough. Don’t feel like you have to stay at a big resort. Sometimes you may even find a beachfront home for rent!
About a 50 minute drive from Fernandina Beach, Jacksonville is a major city in Florida with a plethora of hotels. If you’re up for the daily commute, it can be a good alternative.
Like hotels, campgrounds in the area fill up fast and are reservation only. Book early!

Parking
It’s a nightmare during concours week, so be prepared for frustration. For The Amelia, parking is at the airport with transfer to the event via shuttle buses. Parking is $20 per car, per day. Street and lot parking in Fernandina Beach is possible, but a battle. Make sure you bring lots of $10 and $20 bills for parking fees. It’ll make your life easier.
In past years, many attendees would park for free along some of the main roads near the Ritz Carlton. Since 2024, the city has been barricading many of these spaces. Beach parking lots are similarly closed off during the peak days. As an alternative, consider arriving early and parking at one of the local homes that open their yards for parking during the event.
Some auctions and events (like Gooding Christie’s and Werks Reunion) will have their own parking fees, locations and shuttles, so check their websites beforehand.
Getting Around
Most people bring their own cars and park in one of the event lots or seek street parking. Even with a car, you’ll find yourself walking for many miles over the course of the week, so bring comfortable walking shoes.
We recommend a backpack or other tote for carrying supplies, like sunblock, bug spray, an extra jacket, snacks, etc. Don’t overdo it, but it’s better to be prepared than have to slog back to your hotel. Bag checks for security will occur at major events, so be prepared to open it up at the gate.

Dining
Make reservations early! Fernandina Beach is packed with visitors during Amelia Island Concours Week and restaurants book up fast. Alternatively, dine at establishments that do not offer reservations or visit one of the local grocery stores to prepare your own meals.
Amelia is a social event, so you’ll find lots of folks hanging out in local watering holes talking cars throughout the week. If you’re not shy, stop in and make some new friends.
While the cost of attending some events during Amelia Island Concours Week has increased with Hagerty’s acquisition, the experience has greatly improved overall. We’re excited to attend in 2026 and see how auction results shape up after a boisterous start to the collector car selling season in January.
