Spring car events are in full swing! This weekend Wolf and Mare will be attending the 40th Deutsche Marque Concours d’Elegance in Lorton, Virginia. Billed as an “automotive party,” the show features German collector cars of all vintages on the field at the Occoquan Regional Park in Northern Virginia.

While I’ve been aware of the Deutsche Marque Concours for many years, I’ve never had the pleasure of attending. This year, Wolf and Mare is a show sponsor and I’ll be in our booth answering questions about collector car appraisal as well as our other services.

We appear to be in one of those glum cycles where the work week is beautiful, clear and warm but the weekends are dreary soakers. Let’s hope the forecast is a bust for this weekend and we get some dry weather. Last week’s Porsche Swap Meet in Carlisle, PA was a soggy one for much of the afternoon.

Hopefully the German vintage and modern car faithful, who generally prefer to drive their cars regardless of the weather, will turn out in good numbers.
